The jury for the Cambridge Independent Business Awards faced a challenging task, as this looked at this year’s nominations.
The awards celebrate all sectors and business sizes in a variety of categories in their second year.

The finalists will be announced in Cambridge Independent this week from Wednesday, August 6th.
And the winners will be unveiled on Thursday, September 25th at a gala dinner in the spectacular Great Hall on King’s College in Cambridge.
The jury was directed by the publisher Paul Brackley and contained:
– Mike Scialom Mike Scialom in Cambridge independent
– Jonathan Greenhalgh, partner of the headline sponsor Barr Ellison Law
– David Culley, Executive Director at Recruitment Specialist Pure, who sponsors the employer of the year.
– Natalie Dix, Head of Marketing and Communication at Cambridge Bid, who sponsors the retailer of the year; And
– Richard Watson, tax partner at BDO LLP, who sponsors the business of the year.
The committee was supported by Ricky Allan, Chief Revenue Officer at Cambridge Independent Publisher Iliffe Media, and Lisa Jackson from Iliffe Media, as was the case in the Bradfield Center, operated by Mantle Space, who sponsored the innovation of the category of the year.

Paul said: “I am grateful to my co -guides for their time and their specialist knowledge.
