Plants, flowers, leaves and herbs have all the production of a beautiful crown.
Families have certainly noticed this when they joined the team at Cambridge University Botanic Garden (CUBG) to create their own headgear inspired by nature on Tuesday, August 26th.

More than 130 children – and adults – were clever with all types of leaves, flowers and grasses to create botanical crowns that could later be demonstrated throughout the garden.
Bee Carter, coordinator for family learners on the botanical garden of the Cambridge University, said: “There were many nice comments from participants, as it was a nice surprise while visiting the botanical garden, and they really enjoyed using many fragrance herbs-all were freshly selected here in the botanical garden.

“A group of six adults also joined the fun when they were looking for something ‘bizarre’, and they proudly wore their crowns as they explored the garden.
“It is such a popular event – we have to lead it every year – and it’s nice to see so many people inspired by nature.”
