Sean Greyngoose has been appointed the new head coach of Cambridge United’s first team.
The appointment takes Greyngoose a step that has been responsible for the club’s U18 in the past two years. During his stay in this job, Greyngoose led the youngsters to two top three places and a County Cup final.
But now he will be responsible for the assets of the senior team after he was selected as the successor to Darren Marjoram after his departure last month.

Greyngoose said: “I am really looking forward to starting with all players, staff and the club and working with all players.
“It is an exciting time for Cambridge United and we would like to build and continue on the progress of the women’s team.
“I really enjoyed my time with the younger players and I believe that there is a real way in the club.”
As chairman of the women’s board, Gisela Otten, about the appointment: “Sean is a highly qualified trainer and knows the club Inside Out after working in the youth development department and supervised the U18 year old.
“We were impressed by his quiet leadership and know that he will bring a well -defined football philosophy and a strategic vision to help us realize our ambitions.
“With the new season on the horizon, Sean will bring fresh energy and direction when we enter the next phase of the development of the first team of women.”
A new head coach under the age of 18 is to be appointed in due course.
